The children in our school are at the heart of our school community. As a school we value the thoughts, ideas and opinions of all our children and the School Council is one way of ensuring the voice of the children is heard and has an impact on the development of the school.
We have two pupils from each class years 2-6 that have been elected into the council by their peers. Our School council lead lots of projects in school from making changes to the dinner menu to designing and choosing designing new equipment for school.
We are very lucky to have a ‘Team Safe’ here at Lightmoor Village Primary School. Team Safe is made up of a group of pupils in school who have put themselves forward and applied to help keep children safe in our school and the local community. Team Safe run a project in school each term and will usually plan and lead an assembly and present to pupils in their classrooms. The Team Safe pupils wear special white badges and work closely with our Deputy Head teacher Mrs Cowan. We will keep you updated with work that they do for us in school in our newsletters.
