Lightmoor Village Primary School

I am a qualified social worker, working in Children’s Services. I currently hold the position of team manager in Children Services and have done so for 4 years, previously worked as social worker for over 10 years. I have held various roles in social work, in CAMHS and the Local Authority. My reasons for choosing social work and to become a Governor are similar, that I have always had a keen interest in working with and supporting children, being able to have a role to advocate for children and families, who may not have voice or the support they need is something that I am passionate and keen to do. I currently have two children who attend Lightmoor and live in the area. I really like the caring environment and the culture the current leadership and teaching team have created and was something that interested me in the being Governor. I have a keen interest in sport, I feel the benefits of sport, both physically, socially and emotionally are huge.
